OMEGA Celebrates Buzz Aldrin’s Moon Landing Legacy In 2023
On July 21, 1969, an astronaut for the Lunar Module Pilot of Apollo 11, Buzz Aldrin, walked across the moon’s surface wearing his OMEGA Speedmaster Professional. His first steps were a remarkable achievement for humanity – and also for the OMEGA Speedmaster Professional on his wrist – which at that moment, became the first watch worn on the moon. The Apollo 11 mission remains a legacy of OMEGA’s long heritage with NASA. In commemorating that story today – OMEGA celebrates the outstanding accomplishments of Buzz Aldrin himself.
