Menswear of the future will be defined by its intense connectivity of interdependence with the consciousness of mankind. The captivating news in 2020 is that people around the world learned to live and work together remotely. Yet, despite being united in separation, modern times beckon change. More to the point, 2020 has thrust civilization forward to a new frontier.
For better or worse, Menswear Spring/Summer 2021 collections were viewed remotely this year. Although quite often, I wish there was a pause button to slow things down; advancements in technology compel acceptance. In fact, more than ever before, people find themselves reliant on technology.
To top it off this year has brought about health concerns for the obvious reasons, This has been a point of contention for freelance fashion creatives and models alike. Being a male model or commercial model can be a lucrative during mens fashion week. More to the point models have a lifestyle revolving around global travel. During these trying times, many models have voiced their concerns with respect to health and travel.

The new generation of global luxe menswear is a sacred symbol of extraordinary pieces for an extraordinary turning point in the world.

Dolce&Gabbana SS2021 Men’s Collection was presented at the Campus of Humanitas University. Art, design and fashion: the collection is a tribute to the Italian genius manifested at the Parco dei Principi Hotel in Sorrento – designed by Gio Ponti in 1960 – where the colors of the sea mix with the lightness of white. The merge between modernity and neoclassicism becomes the common thread, where geometric and linear designs, referring to the ceramics of the Sixties, are combined with prints of neoclassical statues and busts, in a game of contrasts harmonized by the delicacy of the shades of the sky.
