Power, Prints & the Return of the Wrap: DVF’s FW25 Collection Is a Masterclass in Bold Tailoring And Modern Femininity

Tailored to perfection and playfully bold, Diane von Furstenberg’s latest lineup redefines confidence—one reversible coat and beaded wrap dress at a time.

Three women. One powerful vision. DVF’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection blends bold tailoring, playful prints, and signature silhouettes—designed for those who dress with intention and lead with style.

For Fall/Winter 2025, Diane von Furstenberg presents a collection that feels fresh yet firmly rooted in everything the brand stands for. It’s bold and layered, designed for women who know exactly who they are, and aren’t afraid to show it.

Tailoring is the backbone this season, with knitted jacquard suiting and reversible coats lined in soft faux fur. The shapes are strong but wearable, from slip-on satin trousers to tweed suits that move easily while still holding a feminine shape. Two DVF favorites make a return; the Virginia Blazer Dress and the shirtdress (the latter still a go-to for Diane herself) both updated with crisp tailoring and effortless style. Chiffon dresses get tie neck details, while the smoking jacket arrives in satin and printed knit, offering a hint of drama.

Mixing unexpected fabrics and prints is where the collection really plays. Lace and tulle meet plaid and pinstripes, creating a mix of soft and strong. A standout trompe l’oeil style pairs a chiffon skirt with a matte jersey top, making it look like two separates in one dress. The hand beaded wrap dress, a nod to DVF’s most famous silhouette, is reimagined for today with a fresh take on glamour.

The collection feels like it’s made for women who embrace contrast; confident yet playful, polished yet relaxed. These are clothes you could wear to a meeting, an art opening, or dinner with friends, without losing yourself in the process.

Heritage prints are also brought forward in clever ways. Pinstripes are done in soft baby blue and chocolate brown chiffon, hiding a handwritten mantra in the details. Plaids show up on signature fabrics, while the Gingko Fan print, pulled from the archives, appears in muted, earthy tones. Leopard print plays with scale, and sequins, organza, and hand beading bring sparkle to party looks.

For me, this season feels personal. I’ve been a DVF fan for years — I even wrote my senior thesis on Diane and the brand. The wrap dress was always more than a piece of clothing to me; it is a symbol of independence and confidence. Seeing FW25 come down the runway felt like watching that same spirit evolve for today’s world.

Diane von Furstenberg has always understood that style is personal power. And this collection is a reminder that confidence, in all its forms, will always be in fashion.
